理由是:    To provide guidance 和 requirements for student employment 和 to ensure compliance with regulations, 规则, 以及与学生就业相关的政策.

政策:  

鼓励学生就业,提高学生的教育兴趣, 支持学生的经济需要, 并为学生提供工作经验.  十大菠菜台子 (OU) staff who hire student employees 和 students who perform work at OU 和 meet the definition of a student employee are subject to the requirements of this policy.  所有学生就业政策, 流程, 程序, 和 practices are administered through the OU  金融援助 Office 和 in accordance with applicable laws 和 regulations.  Exceptions to this policy are at the discretion of the Director of 金融援助 和 Scholarships 和 in accordance with regulations, 规则, 和政策. 

研究生助教政策, 流程, 程序, 和 practices are administered through the 十大菠菜台子 研究生院 和 in accordance with applicable laws 和 regulations.

适用范围及适用性:  This policy is applicable to 所有 OU faculty 和 staff who employ students 和 to 所有 students performing work at OU.

定义:

联邦工作研究: Federal financial aid program that provides partial funding of wages for student employees who qualify. 

研究生助教奖学金: 研究生 student employees who are performing research 和/or teaching 和/or other services that are relevant to their academic program of study during the term of their appointment. 

招聘主管: OU faculty 和/or staff who has departmental financial authority 和 is responsible for employing students to work in on-campus jobs.

程序:    

招聘主管需要发布学生就业职位, 研究生助教奖学金除外, following the 金融援助 Office's posting 程序 (see Appendix - 招聘主管须知).  Positions must be posted a minimum of three days before a student can be selected for a position.  不得通过其他渠道发布招聘信息.

Students cannot begin working until authorized by the 金融援助 Office or by the 研究生院 for graduate assistants.  Working a student without an authorization violates University policy 和 puts the University at risk for fines 和/or penalties from the U.S. 美国劳工部.S. 美国国土安全部.S. 并可能危及国际学生的签证状态.

研究生 students who receive a part-time 研究生 Assistantship are required to provide an average of 10 hours/week service during the f所有 和 winter semesters, 如他们的研究生助教合同所述.  Part-time 研究生 Assistants can work up to an additional ten hours of Regular 学生就业 assignments but cannot work more than ten additional hours of Regular 学生就业 without prior written approval from the 研究生院.
